SANTA CLARA—The infamous “Battle of the Bay” ended in a 49ers landslide victory at home, beating the Raiders 34-3.
49er Rookie QB Nick Mullens shined all evening, throwing three touchdowns and covering 262 yards in what appears to be a record-setting NFL debut.
Raider QB Derek Carr, who’s had a respectable season at a 72% completion rate, was unable to deliver tonight—being sacked seven times.
The fans lit up Levi’s Stadium in a mixture of silver with red and gold, as both teams claim home turf in the Bay Area.
The Niners will play at home next week against the New York Giants, with the Raiders facing off at home against the LA Chargers.
