FOMO: Jelly Lawmakers in CA Want to Ban Elon Musk’s Flamethrowers Before Hitting Consumers

by: Staff

Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of PayPal/Tesla/SpaceX/The Boring Company, excited the online community when he announced that again, he would follow through on his promises, and this time sell a Boring Company Flamethrower–the proceeds of which go to fund more boring operations for a potential transportation hyperloop.

Within just a few days, the *not* flamethrowers sold out. This generated much hype with the online community.

Almost immediately, lawmakers from both California and New York announced their intentions to get a flamethrower ban vote out of their respective committees. This effort may be ill-fated, as the flamethrowers themselves have been designed to have a ten-foot cap to its flame.

It’s important to note, however, that California has in recent years been hit with raging wildfires.

Whether there’s FOMO, or maybe some jealousy through missing out on a highly speculated and sold out product–this will be an interesting vote to watch. Stay tuned.
